GIMME FIVE: Burning Questions About The Real Housewives Of Atlanta

Blindie is enthralled with Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, even though the women go through money faster than the plunging stock market.

But each episode leaves us with the same burning questions:

  1. Who is Kim Zolciak’s sugar daddy “Big Poppa”? After reviewing episode one we caught a glimpse of the name “Lee” in one of Kim’s text messages. Then after much internet scrounging we think that Big Poppa might be real estate investor Lee Najjar.
  2. Why is the daughter of famous boxer Evander Holyfield working as Sheree Whitfield’s personal assistant? Considering Holyfield’s recent financial problems reported by TMZ.com, which includes thousands in back child support payments, his daughter might be making a prudent career move by earning her own living.
  3. Does DeShawn Snow actually do anything? You know, considering she has all that hired help including a chef, a nanny, and an estate manager. DeShawn founded and chairs the non-profit Deshawn Snow Foundation in 2005 that works with underprivileged and disadvantaged teenage girls between the ages of 11 and 17 to build self-esteem.
  4. Will Sheree Whitfield’s soon-to-be ex-husband grant her the seven figure divorce settlement that she is hoping to receive? After watching Sheree drop money on designer clothes and shoes faster than a rapper at a strip club we sure hope she gets her millions and then some.
  5. Who was Lisa Wu Hartwell’s first husband? After Lisa alluded to her first marriage not being a great situation, we just had to know who the sad sack was that didn’t spoon feed her chicken soup in bed like current hubby Ed. We were surprised to find out Lisa was married to R&B singer Keith Sweat and they have two sons, Justin and Jordan, together. And in case you’re wondering, you haven’t seen the boys on the show because Sweat refused to sign a waiver and allow his children to be exploited, according to sandrarose.com. Responsible parenting, we love it!

The Real Housewives Of Atlanta Work Out The Drama And Keep On Shopping!

Stop watching your 401k lose value and switch off that news anchor blabbing about some silly financial bailout, because it’s time to see how The Real Housewives are coping.

Isn’t it refreshing to see people spending money like water and stressing over petty things during these economic hard times?

Here are Blindie’s favorite moments from episode two of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta:

  1. It was just a tad bit ironic that hair stylist Dwight Eubanks warned Nene Leakes about the “plastic” people, you know considering his less-than-natural looking face. Not that we don’t love it! The work is impeccable!
  2. Kim Zolciak throws an $18,000 birthday party for her 11 year-old daughter Brielle, complete with a stretch Hummer ride, a sleep-over at the Inter-Continental hotel, a fashion show, and a ton of gifts including a $1,6000 Louis Vuitton handbag! And then Kim has to pull her daughter aside and tell her to be appreciative!
  3. Sheree Whitfield has a shoe stylist who delivers shoes to her house! He also estimates that Sheree has at least a 1,000 pairs of shoes already!
  4. We love that Sheree Whitfield’s soon-to-be ex-husband Bob Whitfield clearly does not want to be on camera, as he comes to pick up his kids for a weekend visit and stays in the car outside the house honking the horn.
  5. Sheree reveals the “lump sum” figure she is waiting for in her divorce settlement is seven figures! That’s in the millions people!
  6. DeShawn Snow is still trying to find an estate manager because she is soooo “particular.” We love that she was impressed with the woman who researched her beforehand on the internet!
  7. Lisa’s husband Ed Hartwell not only tag teams his wife in a sales meeting for their real estate business, he also does some grocery shopping, and cooks chicken soup when Lisa gets sick! And did we see him spoon feed her?! We’ll take a doting husband over a designer bag any day!
  8. After Nene was left off the guest list at Sheree’s party in the previous episode, she takes the high road and puts the whole “misunderstanding” behind her. She even hugs and kisses Sheree and compliments her hair! And just when we thought NeNe was losing her edge, she promises to “put [Sheree] back in her place” if it happens again.

The Real Housewives Of Atlanta: Sneak A Peek Of The Oct. 7th Premiere

After watching the preview episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Blindie just couldn’t wait for the October 7th premiere! So we snagged a screener, put some shades on to protect us from all the high wattage jewelry and attitude, and took notes on all the obnoxious and outrageous moments.

Here are the top ten moments that make this season’s Housewives better than Gossip Girl, Project Runway and 90210 all rolled up into one overpriced package:

  1. DeShawn Snow says “I always knew I was destined for greatness” and “ever since I was little I knew I was destined to be somebody.” Did we miss something here? What did she do besides marry a basketball player? She didn’t even decorate the house!
  2. Kim Zolciak, who we enjoy simply calling “the white girl”, says “I’m a black woman trapped in a white woman’s body.”
  3. And Kim is being kept by, err dating a celebrity who “prefers to remain anonymous” and whom she refers to as “Big Poppa”. Blindie is guessing Poppa is a black celebrity who is either married or doesn’t want anyone to know he likes the taste of vanilla.
  4. Sheree Whitfield who is waiting for her “lump sum” divorce settlement in order to “maintain her lifestyle -if not better” scoffs “budget, what’s that?” with a wave of her hand.
  5. And she plans her birthday party with a staff of people and requests a cake in the shape of her Louis Vuitton handbag! Wait, didn’t we see this on MTV’s My Super Sweet 16?
  6. Alll of the ladies are scrambling to out-glam each other for Sheree’s birthday party except Lisa Wu Hartwell, who throws on a pair of jeans, a satin top and a fur jacket!
  7. White girl Kim meets her fashion designer, Dean Perdue, at a Shell gas station! Off the highway! And changes into her custom tailored outfit at the side of her car! While her girlfriend Nene holds up a coat to shield her! We loved every tacky minute of it!
  8. Dean Perdue’s Catholic-school-stripper dress he designed for white girl Kim and his lazy southern drawl, with the slight hint of a California valley girl, makes us want to see him on Project Runway or his own reality show.
  9. Tell-it-like-it-is NeNe Leakes is denied entrance to Sheree’s party and gets bounced by security! And boy does she tell it like it is in the driveway as she curses up a storm! We were just as mortified as NeNe was and we’re ordering our “Team NeNe” shirts right now!
  10. Sheree actually tears up when she is serenaded by a low-rent R&B crooner at her party! Seriously, is this MTV’s My Super Sweet 16?
