Beyonce and Ali Larter are proving that everyone loves a catfight, especially when it’s over a brother man like Idris Elba, as their Fatal Attaction-esque thriller Obsession tops the box office this weekend.

Already surpassing it’s modest $20 million budget, Obsessed is quickly redeeming Beyonce from her over-hyped and under-performed role as Etta James in Cadillac Records and securing Idris Elba as a leading man.

Promoting her upcoming tour and new thriller, Obsessed with Idris Elba and Ali Larter, Beyonce sat down with the AP for a Q&A about Etta James and Twitter.

Dubbing her Twitterholic sister Solange Knowles “the Twitter Queen”, the singer-actress says she’s just too old for the new social network.

“She told me about the twittering, but I don’t get it, I feel like I’m getting really old,” Beyonce said of her sister’s constant tweets. “I’m like, what? I don’t understand. Just call me.”

In addition to dishing on her tour (“I’ll work until my feet are blistered!”) and her new movie, where she plays a woman fighting to keep an obsessed woman away from her family (“You have to fight in your relationships!”), Beyonce also commented on Etta James’ harsh remarks about her inaugural ball performance of “At Last”.

“I played Etta James, so I did my research, I read her book,” she says diplomatically, “I was not at all surprised. That’s Etta. She’s hilarious!”

Adding to the minority factor of The Office (Stanley Hudson, Kelly Kapoor and Oscar Martinez), hunky actor Idris Elba picked up where Rashida Jones left off as ethnic guest star eye candy on the NBC hit.

Playing Dunder Mifflin’s new boss Charles Minor (get it?!), Elba made his hunky debut on The Office, shaking up the staff.

“Oh my God!” Kelly Kapoor (Mindy Kaling) said of Elba (who can next be seen with Beyonce Knowles in Obsessed). “He’s like a black George Clooney!”

We may have our doubts about Beyonce’s ability to carry a film, but the trailer for her new thriller Obsessed looks kind of good.

Beyonce plays the innocent wife in a plot very reminiscent of Fatal Attraction and The Hand That Rocks The Cradle, as Heroes’ Ali Larter in the Glenn Close/ Rebecca DeMornay psycho role moves in on her happy family and her husband, The Wire alum Idris Elba.

And yes, there’s a catfight showdown between Beyonce and Ali! Or should we says between Sasha and Ali?! Obsessed is due out in theaters next spring!
