Controversial director Michael Moore released his latest documentary Slacker Uprising online on Tuesday as free downloads.

After taking on corporations, the health care system and the gun industry the self-proclaimed liberal is tackling the presidential election with his new film and hopes to encourage young people to vote in November.

Uprising chronicles Moore’s efforts to get young people in the swing states to vote during the 2004 presidential election.

Moore describes the film as a “tribute to the young voters who are going to save this country from four more years of Republican rule.”

The film is being offered as free downloads through iTunes and Amazon.com.
