Ga Ga: Wendell Lissimore Works Overtime

A Utah native and former boxer, Wendell Lissimore has the right balance of ruggedness and beauty to become the next male supermodel (Tyson who?)!

The 23 year-old signed with New York’s Red Models in 2006 and has been working overtime ever since. In 2007, he landed the Bloomingdale’s fall catalog and an editorial in Vanity Fair, and by 2008 he was walking in shows for Hermes, Ungaro, and Thierry Mugler. The model newbie even got a chance to work with one of the original supermodels, Linda Evangelista for a V editorial.

This month finds Wendell on the cover of Japan’s LUSSW, bleu magazine, and the Italian D magazine with his little son, Phoenix.

Blindie’s just ga ga for Wendell–AND Phoenix!

Pharrell Williams: The Man with the Exclusive Hermès Bag

Pharrell Williams has been toting some expensive luxury lately–and it ain’t a car or a piece of jewelry or even a supermodel: it’s a gargantuan purple crocodile Hermès tote.

In the summer issue of Paper Magazine, the trendsetting producer/jewelry designer/skateboarder shows off not just the bag, but the fact that he has six of them in various colors–and another on order!

“Don’t call it a murse,” he tells the magazine. “It’s not a man purse. It’s my travel bag.”

The bag on display–which inspired the smaller style that was named after actress Jane Birkin and has an infamous waiting list–has not only appeared on the cover of Paper, but in Madonna’s latest music video for “Give It 2 Me,” where he drags the bag on the floor, showing it’s girth in weight–and price (although Williams doesn’t reveal how much it cost him, he does admit that it equates to the price tag of a Mercedes).

“Style is about who you are, where you’re going, what’s comfortable,” Williams says of his fashion philosophy. “It’s your attitude that makes it hot.”
