Pussycat’s Nicole Scherzinger Planning Hawaiian New Year’s With Lewis Hamilton

The Pussycat Doll’s lead singer Nicole Scherzinger wants to bring her boyfriend champion Formula One race car driver Lewis Hamilton home to Hawaii for New Year’s Eve.

A friend of Scherzinger says, “Nicole is really excited about taking Lewis home to Hawaii. She’s thinking of hiring a private luxury yacht to celebrate his birthday with his friends and family.”

The sexy 30 year-old singer has said of 23 year-old Hamilton “I definitely think he could be The One,” and revealed at the most recent MTV Video Music Awards they are house hunting together.

“We would love to have beautiful angel babies together one day,” Scherzinger has said. “We would sing Don’t Cha to them in my belly.”

We hope when Scherzinger and Hamilton have those angel babies, they change the line “Don’t cha wish your girlfriend was a freak like me?” to something more baby friendly.

ObamaNation: Barack’s Pre-Inauguration Hawaiian Vacation

Barack Obama jetted off to Hawaii this weekend for a much-needed holiday break and kicked off his two-week vacation by teeing off on the Olomana Golf Links in Waimanalo.

With less than a month to go before his historical and much-hyped inauguration, Obama seemed in good spirits as he played 18 holes of golf with political aide Eugene Kang and some friends.

Dressed in a white polo shirt, tan cargo shorts and some cool shades, Obama made a food run midway through the course, stopping at a snack bar to purchase the following: two passion-orange sodas, one Powerade, and one Coke, two hot dogs, two Spam musubi (a sushi-like Hawaiian delicacy consisting of Spam and fried egg on a slab of rice held together with a dried seaweed wrap) -all totaling $17.75.

The President-elect even offered to pick up the beer tab for the reporters, suggesting they take a break from photographing him by visiting the clubhouse, CNN reports.

Obama spent the rest of the weekend shirtless, showing off his washboard abs with his family at the quiet oceanfront community of Kailua.

Bryan Clay Named USA Track & Field’s Athlete Of The Week

After taking home the gold at the Olympics in Beijing, decathlete Bryan Clay has been named USA Track & Field’s Athlete of the Week. Clay finished the two-day decathlon competition just 10 seconds shy of beating the Olympic record, but won by a 240-point margin–the largest since 1972.

Born in Texas to an African American father and a Japanese mother, he was raised in Hawaii and joined the track club as a child to channel his energy. Standing at a height of 5’11” he is considered small for a decathlete, but Clay proved he had the speed, strength, skill, stamina, endurance, and perseverance to win the 10-event competition and joins the league of great American decathletes like Jim Thorpe, Bill Toomey and Bruce Jenner.

Dubbed “Hawaii’s Hero” in the press and considered the “World’s Greatest Athlete,” Clay, who also won the silver at the 2004 Olympics in Athen, says “It’s been a little while since we had the Olympic gold medal in the decathlon brought back to the States. I’m happy with being the person to do it. I hope the Wheaties box and all those types of things happen. I’d love for that to happen. I’d love for this to be a spark for the decathlon and bring it back to the forefront of track and field.”

The married man and father of two credits Christianity as a strong force in his life and gives back to his community with the Bryan Clay Foundation. The mission of the foundation is to provide Hawaiian students in need with support to pursue college.

ObamaNation: A Wrap-Up of Barack’s Hawaiian Getaway

While the nation’s attention is on the Olympic games in China, Barack Obama vacationed in his hometown of Hawaii, spending quality time with his family, visiting friends and of course, fundraising.

The U.S. Senator and presidential hopeful was snapped by paparazzi on Tuesday strolling on Kailua beach, hand in hand, with his two lovely daughters, Malia and Sasha, and bodysurfing Thursday at Sandy Beach. He also took time to visit the point where he scattered his mother’s ashes into the ocean, throwing a lei as a memorial.

Obama managed to sneak in some campaigning in between spending time with family and friends and shooting hoops at his alma mater, Punahou School, and raised $1.3 million at a sold-out fund-raiser on Wednesday at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.

Blindie knows this sounds a little stalkerish, but hey, not everyone gets to go to Hawaii!
