Take a listen to Michael Jackson‘s unreleased song “A Place With No Name.”

The song is similar to America’s 1971 track “A Horse With No Name” and TMZ is reporting the group granted the King of Pop permission to record the song.

“The band was honored that Michael chose to do their song and they hope it becomes available for all Michael’s fans to hear,” said Jim Morey, America’s current manager and Jackson’s manager during the late 1980s and early 1990s.

1958 – 2009: Michael Jackson, “The King of Pop” Dies At 50

Michael Joseph Jackson died in Los Angeles on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was pronounced dead at 2:26pm at the UCLA Medical Center. The singer was just 50 years old.

Crowned the King of Pop, Jackson’s musical career spanned over five decades beginning at the age of 11 as part of the group The Jackson 5 with his brothers Tito, Jermaine, Jackie and Marlon. As a solo artist he created some of the world’s best-selling records: “Off the Wall” (1979), “Thriller” (1982), “Bad” (1987), “Dangerous” (1991) and “HIStory”(1995) and was inducted into the Rock and Roll twice.

Although he was beloved by the world over, Jackson’s life was plagued with controversy from his drastic plastic surgery, accusations of child molestation, to eccentricities that ranged from sleeping in an oxygen chamber to buying the Elephant Man’s bones.

The incredible talent that made Jackson a superstar also isolated him from the world and he seemed to be on an endless quest to reclaim the childhood that was robbed from him by an abusive, overbearing father who thrust him into the spotlight at a young age. He often referred to himself as a lonely man and was obsessed with the story Peter Pan, even calling his palatial animal-filled and carnival themed residence in California Neverland Ranch.

Michael Jackson was truly a gifted and innovative entertainer who made a profound impact on the music industry, touching the world with his musical genius and shaping pop culture as we know it.

Where In The World Is Michael Jackson?: Dodging A Lawsuit From A Bahrain Prince

Bahrain Prince, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Khalifa is suing Michael Jackson for over $7 million in London’s High Court claiming the singer reneged on a record contract.

Abdullah’s lawyer Bankim Thanki claims Jackson was paid lucrative sums by the Sheikh in 2005, including $35,000 to pay utility bills at the Neverland Ranch as part of a “pay-back” agreement that included the release of a new album and an autobiography.

Jackson is claiming the Sheikh’s payments were gifts and that a project was never finalized.

The King of Pop was a guest of the Bahrain royal family soon after his child molestation trial ended in 2005. “Sheikh Abdullah began to support Mr. Jackson financially after 2005 when it became clear that Mr. Jackson was in very serious financial difficulties, much to Sheikh Abdullah’s surprise,” Thanki said.

Jackson, who is currently in the United States, is claiming to be unfit for travel to the United Kingdom for the trial and may be allowed to give his testimony via video link next week.

Where In The World Is Michael Jackson?: Negotiating A Mortgage Bailout For Neverland

Michael Jackson has averted a foreclosure on his beloved Neverland Ranch by striking a deal with Sycamore Valley Ranch Company LLC. A grant deed for the ranch has been filed to transfer ownership of the ranch from the pop singer to the company.

It is interesting to note that Sycamore Valley Ranch Company LLC is a joint venture between Jackson and Colony Capital LLC; and Colony is the same company that stepped in to purchase Jackson’s loan earlier this year when he was in default of $24.5 million on the property.

Jackson purchased Neverland Ranch in 1998, which was then named Sycamore Vallery Ranch, and built an amusement park and a zoo on the estate. The singer had not resided at the ranch since his June 2005 child molestation trial.
