Is Old Navy trying to beat the recession by replacing live models with mannequins?

The trendy but always economical fashion megastore launched their “Supermodelquins” campaign at New York hot spot 1OAK Tuesday night where The City‘s Olivia Palermo and Gossip Girl‘s Michelle Trachtenberg made nice with the plastic people.

Blindie got a chance to catch up with Spotted stylist Keino Benjamin, who is currently dressing Jessica Rich of VH1’s Real Chance Of Love (yes, low-brow, but whatevs!).

Benjamin tells us his dream client would be Rihanna: “I would put more high-end dresses on her, get her back to longer hair and ditch some of the black she’s been sporting. She’s too beautiful to be dressing so dark all the time!”

Bananas beauty, actress Joy Bryant, has finally opened up about her June wedding to stuntman David Pope, unveiling photos of her Hamptons nuptials in In Style.

“Everyone thought I was crazy to try to plan a wedding in less than a month, but I’m lucky to have talented friends who all pitched in,” Bryant told the magazine in its February issue. “As for my dress, a friend at Missoni took care of that. It was the first I tried on.”

“Isn’t It Romantic?” by Ella Fitzgerald

“What a Wonderful Thing Love Is” by Al Green

She may have the beauty and the fame to get into any party, but when it comes to President-Elect Barack Obama’s inauguration festivities, actress Eva Mendes got the boot!

“Hottest ticket party in town… I thought I had some pull – I usually do, and I’ve been shut down,” The Spirit star told Access Hollywood. “It’s the hardest party to get into.”

Although Mendes says she’s “still working on” getting in, she understands: “They don’t want to make [it] a celebrity studded event because I understand this in an extremely crucial time in our history and in our world right now.”

‘Sexiest’ Mario Lopez And ‘Hotness’ Jesse Williams Celebrate NYC Launch Of Lucky Strike

Lucky Strike celebrated the New York launch of their mega bowling alley with a star-studded bash that brought out People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” Mario Lopez and “the Hotness Monster” Jesse Williams of the TV series Greek and the Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants sequel.

Lopez joked about the film Kingpin as he arrived at the complex and showed off his skills as he knocked more than a few pins down.

Williams, who was accompanied by his lovely fiancée (sorry ladies!), bowled a few rounds and filled us in on his new projects.

The biracial beauty is currently working on the film Brooklyn’s Finest with Richard Gere, Don Cheadle and Wesley Snipes, and is slated to star in the HBO series Washingtonienne that will be executive produced by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Also spotted at the Strike party was fashion designer turned rockstar Richie Rich, who party-hopped from the H&M Commes des Garcons launch across the street; Rescue Me‘s Daniel Sunjata, who showed up sans entourage and avoided the red carpet; and one of the original black supermodels Beverly Johnson looking sexy and svelte in a purple dress.
