Cadillac Records star Adrien Brody said he “insisted” on several takes of his kissing scene with Beyoncé Knowles in their upcoming drama Cadillac Records, according the New York Daily News.

“It is fun, obviously, to kiss Beyoncé,” Brody said at the premiere on Monday. “I insisted on a lot of takes.”

Beyonce Cast As Legendary Singer-Actress Eartha Kitt

Beyonce Knowles has been cast as the legendary singer Eartha Kitt in a biopic of the entertainer’s life, according to ABC News.

Even though the 79-year-old singer once suggested Academy Award winner Halle Berry portray her on screen saying, “I do not think I have quite the derriere of Beyonce. Give me Halle Berry instead,” in the SFGate.com, she did express approval that the former Destiny Child had taken an interest in starring in her life story.

Kitt is best known for her role as Catwoman in the Batman television series during the 1960s, a distinctive throaty singing voice and her signature purr. She has chronicled her rise from meager beginings in North Carolina to stardom on the stage and screen in her autobiograpies Thursday’s Child (1956), Alone With Me (1976), and I’m Still Here: Confessions of a Sex Kitten (1989).

Knowles, who is already creating Oscar buzz for her portrayal of famed singer Etta James in the upcoming film Cadillac Records, will also star in the thriller Obsessed alongside Idris Elba and Ali Larter next year.

“I’ve been in the business for more than twenty years, and you decide now, at this particular time, that I’m the sexiest woman alive?” Berry says in the magazine. “Come on. I mean, you couldn’t go with the Bond-girl year?”
