President Barack Obama threw out the ceremonial first pitch to the Cardinals’ Albert Pujols at Tuesday night’s All-Star Game at St. Louis’ Busch Stadium.

Obama is the seventh President to make an appearance at an All-Star Game, but only the fourth to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The President had just returned from Africa where he toured the Portugese slave castle Elmina in the coastal country of Ghana and urged for the continent to have greater openness, fairness and honesty in busines and government.
