ObamaNation: HBO Acquires Rights To Ed Norton-Produced Documentary On Obama Campaign

Cable TV network HBO has acquired the rights to a documentary about the new President-elect Barack Obama for a reported seven figures.

The untitled documentary chronicles Obama’s history in politics and is being produced by actor Edward Norton.

“Senator Obama’s history-making race for the White House has given our film a perfect framework to explore the pulse of the country at this vital moment in our history,” said Norton whose production company Norton’s Class 5 Films approached the Obama camp in early 2006.

HBO plans to release the film next year.
