Blindie just loves a good comercial, especially one that turns stereotypes on its ear.

In this new Holiday Inn Express commercial a button-down, slack-wearing, white office dork strolls through what we presume is a black neighborhood (probably gentrifying the area, but that’s another topic altogether) and out raps a young African American male who tries to belittle his nerdiness.

With phraseology like “cause I know you’re gonna drool when you hear me gettin’ wordy….turning pennies into dimes, I shift paradigms…” Blindie has to admit the hotel chain just got a little hipper in our eyes.

Michael Jackson made a rare appearance in Los Angeles on Thursday to perform a little retail therapy.

The King of Pop, dressed in black pants and tuxedo jacket and donning his signature pair of sunglasses, was spotted shopping on the trendy Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard.

Jackson smiled and flashed peace signs to the cameras as he browsed through the antique store Off The Wall (yes, really!), Sculpture Design Inc., the houseware shop Victorian Rose and the cosmetic boutique Alter Ego.

The singer purchased Epicuren Discovery skin treatment, a vintage silver model airplane and dodged questions from the mob of paparazzi waiting outside about his rumored bankruptcy woes and the whereabouts of his old primate pal Bubbles.

Lucky Strike celebrated the New York launch of their mega bowling alley with a star-studded bash that brought out People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” Mario Lopez and “the Hotness Monster” Jesse Williams of the TV series Greek and the Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants sequel.

Lopez joked about the film Kingpin as he arrived at the complex and showed off his skills as he knocked more than a few pins down.

Williams, who was accompanied by his lovely fiancée (sorry ladies!), bowled a few rounds and filled us in on his new projects.

The biracial beauty is currently working on the film Brooklyn’s Finest with Richard Gere, Don Cheadle and Wesley Snipes, and is slated to star in the HBO series Washingtonienne that will be executive produced by Sarah Jessica Parker.

Also spotted at the Strike party was fashion designer turned rockstar Richie Rich, who party-hopped from the H&M Commes des Garcons launch across the street; Rescue Me‘s Daniel Sunjata, who showed up sans entourage and avoided the red carpet; and one of the original black supermodels Beverly Johnson looking sexy and svelte in a purple dress.
