High School Musical‘s Corbin Bleu & Monique Coleman Dance For Sara Lee Bread

Granted Zac Efron does big things in the movies, while Vanessa Hudgens nabs deals with Neutrogena and Sears, but we're ecstatic to see our fave heartthrob Corbin Bleu shaking his curls for Sara Lee. Joining him in the peppy commercial is onscreen love Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel and Olesya Rulin. Black Kids Skip ‘School’: Where’s High School Musical‘s Corbin Bleu & Monique Coleman?

In the latest media blitz for Disney's High School Musical 3: Senior Year, stars Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale appear in a Grease-inspired photo spread for Elle. But blatantly missing (once again!) are black stars Corbin Bleu and Monique Coleman. Granted Coleman isn't necessarily a major player in the Disney Channel megahit, but Bleu is definitely a tween heartthrob. Although race is the obvious difference between these stars, it still confuses Blindie as to why the media continues to crop out Bleu, who is a hunk in his own right. Coleman, who plays smarty-pants Taylor McKessie in HSM, told Ebony that nabbing the role was important to her so she could "show that the smartest girl in the school is a Black girl!" Of the coverage given to Tisdale, Efron and Hudgens, Coleman told USA Today last month, "It's a popularity situation, and I can be really thrilled by the fact that it hasn't happened to me yet." Ga Ga: Corbin Bleu, Blindie’s High School Musical Crush

Move over Zac Efron because Corbin Bleu of the hugely successful Disney franchise High School Musical is our new teen crush. Born in Brooklyn to an Italian mother and a Jamaican father, Bleu sports a killer curl-fro that would make most girls jealous. He acknowledges his signature hairdo in an interview with USA Today, "I don't want to cut it just to create shock," but admitted he would consider cutting it for a strong movie role. Unlike his co-star Efron, Bleu isn't on the radar of the celebrity gossip mags but he is popping up at county fairs throughout the country this summer delighting scores of pre-teen girls with high energy songs from his 2007 debut album Another Side. Vanessa Hudgens is scheduled to perform with him at the Iowa State Fair on August 14th.
