Obama Attends Alfalfa Club’s Roast On Capitol Hill And Aims Jokes At Rahm Emanuel

President Barack Obama served as headline speaker for the annual Alfalfa Dinner roast on Saturday in Washington D.C. and let loose with a few jokes at his Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. The White House released a few of the President's zingers which took aim at Emanuel's penchant for profanity. “It was actually Rahm’s idea to do the swearing-in ceremony again,” Obama said. “Of course, for Rahm, every day is a swearing-in ceremony, ” he joked. The President also made light of his recent blackberry controversy saying, “In just the first few weeks, I’ve had to engage in some of the toughest diplomacy of my life. And that was just to keep my Blackberry.” Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin was also in attendance but, since the black-tie affair traditionally bars reporters from attending, it is not known whether the President poked fun at the Caribou Barbie. We hope someone did. PHOTO CREDIT: AP

Palin Pranked By Canadian Radio Jocks

Canadian radio jocks Marc-Antoine Audette and Sébastien Trudel, the "Masked Avengers," prank called vice-president nominee Sarah Palin on Montreal's CKOI radio. The two comedians, who are notorious for prank calling celebrities, posed as French President Nicolas Sarkozy as they engaged the Alaskan governor in a hilarious conversation for nearly six minutes. Palin had no clue the joke was on her as she answered questions about Joe Plumber and laughed at a Nailin' Palin compliment. She even invited the faux Sarkozy on a hunting trip, to which he replied, "I just love killing those animals. Mmm, mmm, take away life, that is so fun. I'd really love to go, so long as we don't bring along Vice-President Cheney." The Celine Dion-like accent should've tipped Palin off right away, or at least her staffers.

Palin also helped Alec Baldwin recall the nickname she had been dubbed in the press -"Caribou Barbie."
