Nicole Richie And Leona Lewis Love Gossip Girl, But Will They Guest Star?

Grammy nominee Leona Lewis recently filmed a music video for the song "I Will Be" with Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford and then gushed on her official website that the scandalous prep show is her "new fave series." Even Paris Hilton's former BFF Nicole Richie reportedly "loves Gossip Girl and...wants a really bitchy, juicy role." So, can we expect to see either one of these ladies on the Upper East Side? According to the NY Daily News Richie is in talks to guest star on Gossip Girl. Can you say bitchfest? As for Ms. Lewis, maybe the new song will make it onto the GG soundtrack.

Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford To Appear In Leona Lewis’ Video

Chace Crawford really knows how to charm the ladies as Nate Archibald on Gossip Girl, and he's apparently managed to charm Leona Lewis, even making his way into the video for her new song "I Will Be." The hot prep schooler met the Grammy-nominated songstress at a dinner in her honor at the Sanderson hotel in London last month, became fast friends, and quickly won a role in her music video -even a few speaking lines. Lewis was spotted shooting the video in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn on Friday. Isn't that Dan Humphrey's neighborhood? Could there be some cross-promotion synergy with Gossip Girl? We hope so! As for the song, Katy Perry weighs in on it saying, "I was at the point of tears knowing I heard a song that would be the hugest thing ever. I mean, people, be prepared to hear this song at every wedding for a long time.” PHOTO CREDIT: (Crawford) Sara Jaye Weiss

Leona Lewis Named Billboard’s Top New Artist of the Year

Leona Lewis has been named Billboard’s top new artist of the year, determined by performance on Billboard’s albums and singles charts. The X-Factor winner and Simon Cowell protégé's latest single, a cover of Snow Patrol's "Run" (see music video below), has gone straight to the top of the singles chart, becoming the fastest-selling download in British chart history, with 133,000 copies. It was only in March that Lewis became the first British female to top the U.S. charts in over 20 years with her hit single "Bleeding Love." Last week, the Brit beauty nabbed three Grammy nominations, including Record of the Year and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Bleeding Love," while her debut album Spirit received a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. With her powerful vocals, Lewis is often compared to contemporary greats like Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. "It's quite scary," she recently said of the comparisons. "It's a massive compliment. Personally I've got a lot of hard work to do."

Estelle Nabs Five Mobo Award Nominations & Speaks Out on Adele & Duffy

Every time Estelle's Kanye West-cameod single "American Boy" circulates on our iPod, we can't help but to get amped. So when we heard the British songstress nabbed five Mobo (Music of Black Origin) Award nominations, we were elated. The 28-year-old singer earned more nods, including Best UK Female, Album, Song, R&B/Soul and Video, than fresh-faced stunner Leona Lewis, who recently became the first British woman to reach No. 1 in the US singles charts for more than 20 years for her hit, "Bleeding Love." More shocking than going face-to-face with hitmaker Lewis, Estelle is reportedly pissed to be going up against white British songstresses Adele & Duffy (whose "Warwick Avenue" we are completely haunted by and ga ga over!). "It's hilarious," Estelle told the London Times. "I'm not mad at 'em - but I'm just wondering, how the hell is there not a single black person in the press singing soul? Adele ain't soul. She sounds like she heard some Aretha records once and she's got a deeper voice - that don't mean she's soul." The 13th annual awards will be held in London on October 15.
