Color on the Cover: The New Yorker Gives Michelle Obama Sleeves

michelle-obama-new-yorker-cover-sleeves.jpgmichelle-obama-sleeveless Satirical magazine The New Yorker has given First Lady Michelle Obama sleeves for their Style Issue. The illustration by Floc'h, titled "Michelle O.", depicts the First Lady on a runaway in a colorful array of full-length sleeved frocks. New York Times columnist David Brooks, who criticized Obama's much-debated sleeveless frocks to fellow columnist Maureen Dowd on Sunday, will certainly be elated to see that Obama's "thunder and and lightning" have been "put away" to his liking.

Ga Ga: NYLON Mag Declares Rudy Huxtable Their Style Icon!

Surfing the web, Blindie found that Rudy Huxtable of The Cosby Show is being declared a style icon by NYLON magazine. Yes, Keshia Knight Pulliam may have grown up (she recently played a prostitute in Tyler Perry's Madea Goes to Jail), but we're loving that not only does NYLON Mag name check Denise (Lisa Bonet) but also Rudy's little hubby BUD! "Denise may have been the 'cool' one," the mag writes, "but growing up in the '90s, we always wanted some of Rudy Huxtable's style. Her penchant for big sweaters over party dresses became a college campus inspiration for millions of American girls, and those striped leggings she wore to dance class?"

Tyra Banks Calls Herself ‘Goddess of Fierce’ in America’s Next Top Model Premiere

The 12th (yes...TWELFTH!) cycle of America's Next Top Model premiers tonight and as always, Tyra Banks doesn't just show up---she dresses up, going as far as dubbing herself "the goddess of fierce." One model, who is completely in awe of Tyra's costumed unveiling (Is Ms. Banks channeling Cleopatra? I thought Caesars Palace in Vegas was Greek mythology-themed?), screams, "Tyra! This woman is amazing...she's extraterrestrial!" Blindie must say we agree with the "extraterrestrial" comparison. Tune in to the ANTM premiere tonight at 8 on the CW!

Last week, the Slumdog Millionaire beauty signed on to star in Allen's yet untitled project along with Josh Brolin, Naomi Watts and Anthony Hopkins.

Hookup Alert: Model Elle MacPhereson & Saville Row Designer Ozwald Boateng

The peacock of Saville Row, designer Ozwald Boateng, walked into the Grey Goose party in the SoHo Lounge in L.A with supermodel Elle "The Body" MacPherson on his arm. The London-based tailor celebrated his birthday in the private room last Friday, according to Fox News, with his new girl, NBC's Ben Silverman, Mariah Carey (and her hubby Nick Cannon) and Lawrence Fishburn. Blindie's surprised by the reported hookup between MacPherson (who was previously married to photog Gilles Bensimon and has two kids with French financier Arpad Busson) and Boateng because he has long been photographed with wife Guynel (with whom he has two kids) at his side!

New York Fashion Week: Spend a Day with Model Sessilee Lopez

It was only in January when Blindie reported on model Sessilee Lopez's hot Calvin Klein ads, and now the Philadelphia-bred stunner is taking over New York Fashion Week. In a video diary for the New York Daily News, Lopez chronicles her first full day at fashion week last Friday from a fitting for Marc Jacobs to walking for Jason Wu. "I have fairly small feet for a model so I always run into shoe troubles," the 20-year-old model confesses. "I'm stuffed in and taped and glued down but that doesn't really help. At every show my heart is in my throat right before I walk out."
