Zoe Kravitz sat down for Good Morning America‘s new segment On The Brink this weekend and talked about her famous parents, being an “It” girl and her ten tattoos.
Kravitz credits her mom Lisa Bonet for her unique style and says her mother, “definitely inspired me to…mostly to wear what I want,” but admits that she is “definitely a pretty even mix” of her dad Lenny Kravitz also.
On being considered an “it” girl, Kravitz says ” I think it means that you don’t have a job but people still pay attention to you, it’s kind of an insult.
She also admits to being influenced by her father especially when it comes to performing with her band Elevator Fight. “He’s an amazing musician and I respect him a lot for staying true to what he wants to do. He has that retro sound. He plays everything himself. He’s really into doing things live, authentically and that’s a really big deal to my band, we do everything live, everything’s you know, what it sounds like is what you get.”
Actress and singer Zoe Kravitz is denying a romance with actor Woody Harrelson after the two were spied having drinks together at the Jane Hotel last Saturday in New York City with friends.
The media rumor mill went into over-drive speculating that Kravitz and Harrelson spent the night together, but a spokesperson tells the New York Post‘s gossip column Page Six,”Zoe went to the Jane Hotel but left at midnight.”
Harrelson recently married longtime girlfriend Laura Louie in December.
Lenny Kravitz plays photograoher as he points the camera lens on a few high profile celebrities, including his daughter Zoe, for the April issue of Vogue Russia.
Kravitz appears on the cover sporting a closely shaven head with arms wrapped around model Carmen Kass and his intimate shots of daughter Zoe Kravitz, singers Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Lionel Richie and rapper Jay-z appear inside.
All criticisms aside, like the odd pairing of Kass and Kravitz, their relevancy to anything current, or even the quality of some of Kravitz photos, we still love it! Because everything is just a little bit sexier when Lenny is involved!
Zoe Kravitz may have a burgeoning acting career and a killer sense of style but is she about to take on the music world and release an album?
Blindie heard that Zoe has already recorded some tracks that can be described as “hot” and “sure to blow up” if released, and we’ve even acquired exclusive photos of the starlet rocking out in the studio.
With the unconventional Lenny Kravitz for a dad it doesn’t surprise Blindie that Zoe is getting on the mic. Plus, we’ve heard her sing a few bars on the Barack Obama We Are The Ones promo and quite frankly we’re fans already!
Zoe Kravitz recently attended the Sundance Film Festival to promote her film The Greatest and talked to JustJared.com about her love of vintage clothes and confirmed that her new brother Nakoa-Wolf is “adorable.”
As the daughter of actress Lisa Bonet and musician Lenny Kravitz, Zoe clearly gets her unique fashion sense from both stylish parents and confesses that Carrie Bradshaw as well as Jimi Hendrix are her style icons. While some of her favorite designers are Alexander Wang and Chanel she admits, “I’m kind of a vintage-y girl. I kind of just like what I like. I shop at flea markets” -which she oftens does with father Lenny.
She also talked about her role in the independent film The Greatest -a drama about a death in the family, “I play a girl that Johnny Simmons (Ryan) meets, who’s Susan [Sarandon] and Pierce [Brosnan]’s son in the movie. And we start dating and I kind of end up being crazy.”
Blindie is adding The Greatest to our list of must-see independent films, right below Lee Daniels Push starring her father Lenny as a male nurse.
The Sundance film festival kicked off on Thursday in Park City, Utah and while there are more than a few impressive black films in the lineup we are most excited about sexy rocker Lenny Kravitz‘ big screen debut in Lee Daniel’s film Push.
Not to be confused with the Dakota Fanning thriller Push, which hits theaters in February, Daniels’ Push is an adaptation of the bestselling novel by Ramona Lofton, aka Sapphire -the heart-wrenching drama of an abused, overweight and illiterate teenage mother trying to turn her life around in the Bronx section of New York.
Not only does Push provide Daniels’ with much needed directorial redemption from the disappointing 2005 film Shadowboxer, but Lenny Kravitz finally follows in his mother Roxie Rocker’s footsteps and show off his acting talents.
Kravitz, the ex-husband of Lisa Bonet and father to Blindie’s favorite budding actress Zoe Kravitz plays a male nurse who shows kindness to the teenage mother Clareece ‘Precious’ Jones played by newcomer Gabourey ‘Gabbie’ Sidibe.
