Blogger Perez Hilton spoke with The Advocate's Benoit Denizet-Lewis about his recent and now infamous scuffle with the Blackeyed Peas' Will.i.am and admits that in the heat of the moment his rage almost brought him to hurl a racial slur at the African American singer.
"I thought about calling him the n word," he says, "but I thought the f word was even worse. I was so filled with hate at that moment because I was hated on so much, and I reacted in the worst way possible. Then I went on to make a bunch of other mistakes. I shouldn't have made the video. I shouldn't have released so many statements. But what's come out of all of this is that I've learned so much about myself, and I'm in a much better place. I'm actually thankful that it happened. As cheesy as it may sound, I had almost a spiritual moment when I just let all of the anger and worry go and am now filled with peace, happiness, and wisdom."

Will.I.Am then created his own Twitter account to respond to the allegations: "I just made a Twitter account because it isn't cool for someone to blame you and blast you with lies," he posted an hour later, before creating the video below.
The alleged altercation was centered around Fergie, who, according to the blogger, came up to him twice asking why he was so negative towards the band's hit single, "Boom Boom Pow." According to Will.I.Am, Perez was being mean to Fergie, whom he considers a sister, and felt he needed to protect.
