Halle Berry showed off her dance skills, or should we say shimmy skills, as she got a bit low and wiggled to the Hurricane Chris dance track “She’s Fine (Halle Berry Remix)” on Tuesday’s episode of The Ellen Degeneres Show.
An homage to Berry’s hotness, “She’s Fine” has inspired fans across the country to upload their own dance videos to YouTube, and talk show host Ellen Degeneres encouraged Berry to shake a tail feather to her tribute song.
While the dance craze is hardly of “Single Ladies” proportions, it reminds us of the Soulja Boy “Superman” phenomena.
Halle Berry’s pride and joy, daugther Nahla Ariela Aubry, is one year old!
It was only in February that the Oscar-winning actress told Essence magazine, “As a woman, I thought it was all about work and accomplishments. Then this little baby comes along and says that it’s not about that.”
Berry is also starring in the film adaptation of the novel Nappily Ever After, which she’ll go bald for. But is mainly doing it for Nahla’s seal of approval.
“I don’t want my daughter to look back at my work and think, ‘Mom sold out,’ ” she said. “I want to leave a legacy that she can be proud of.”
It’s taken two long years for Halle Berry to mix up a “yummy” and “very sensual” fragrance with perfume house Coty.
The Oscar-winning stunner conjured up a personal scent that is “very much reflective of the outdoors” using such earthly delights as fig, mimosa, olibanum (a close relative of Frankincense) and sandalwood.
Coty’s other famous perfumologists are Jennifer Lopez, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, David and Victoria Beckham, Gwen Stefani, Celine Dion and Tim McGraw.
Blindie loves the sexy ad campaign shot in Hawaii and we can’t wait to spray on some Halle and smell yummy!
A grieving Jennifer Hudson leads the pack with seven NAACP Image Award nominations, which were announced Wednesday (by hottie Corbin Bleu!) in both film and music categories.
Hudson faces off with Beyonce Knowles (who is up for six awards) and Alicia Keys in the outstanding female music artist, best music video and outstanding supporting actress categories.
Hudson, who starred with Keys and Queen Latifah in The Secret Life of Bees, is nominated for her acting in the film with Keys, while Beyonce is up for her role as Etta James in Cadillac Records.
The 40th NAACP Image Awards will air on Feb. 12 and will be hosted by Halle Berry and Tyler Perry.
Kitt, who died on Christmas day at age 81, expressed her disapproval of the “Bootylicious” singer’s casting in her life story. “I do not think I have quite the derriere of Beyonce,” she said.
And we believe such a legend deserves a real actress with real talent beyond singing. Here are Blindie’s top five actresses who can do Miss Earth Kitt justice:
Thandie Newton
She was cheated in casting last year when Angelina Jolie was cast as Mariane Pearl in A Mighty Heart —a role Blindie felt was a match-made for the Brit talent. But Kitt could earn Newton a call from Oscar
Taraji P. Henson
She’s gaining critical acclaim and a SAG award nomination for her role opposite Brad Pitt in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Although she consistently supports leading men, we think she would be a strong choice as Kitt.
Halle Berry
She definitely did Dorothy Dandridge justice on cable TV….plus Kitt herself said, “Give me Halle Berry instead!”
Robin Givens
We should follow up her film comeback in Tyler Perry’s A Family That Preys with a hefty role as the purring singer-actress. Plus, with Berry, she starred with Kitt opposite Eddie Murphy in 1992’s Boomerang!
Zoe Saldana
Having seen her be the “girl-to-get” in many flicks, it’s time that Star Trek’s Uhura tests her acting chops with a heftier role. Maybe she could pull a Marion Cotillard–who nabbed the Oscar playing much-older legend Edith Piaf.
Cadillac Records star Adrien Brody said he “insisted” on several takes of his kissing scene with Beyoncé Knowles in their upcoming drama Cadillac Records, according the New York Daily News.
“It is fun, obviously, to kiss Beyoncé,” Brody said at the premiere on Monday. “I insisted on a lot of takes.”
And Beyoncé, who plays Etta James in the film (out this Friday), couldn’t disagree. “I remember when he kissed Halle Berry. He’s not shy! Not at all.”
Brody, who has a history of tasting chocolate, kissed Berry when she presented him with the Best Actor award for The Pianist at the 2003 Academy Awards.
”I bet they didn’t tell you that was in the gift bag,” he said at the time.
