The other shoe has finally dropped after a long laundry list of women have emerged over these last few years accusing Bill Cosby of sexual molestation spanning decades. The 78 year-old comedian was arrested on sexual allegation charges on Wednesday with bail set at $1 million.
Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele said in a press conference that “Mr. Cosby is charged with aggravated indecent assault.”
The charges stem from his 2004 encounter with former Temple University employee Andrea Constand. “Mr. Cosby made two sexual advances at her that were rejected,” Steele said. “Mr. Cosby urged her to take pills that he provided to her and to drink wine… He committed aggravated indecent assault against her.” She was “frozen, paralyzed, unable to move,” Steele said during the press conference.
The statute of limitations on the allegations was due to run out in January.
