VIDEO: Chris Rock Takes You Back To Your Roots in Good Hair

Chris Rock takes a candid look at the world and business of black hair in his documentary Good Hair.

With celebrities like Kerry Washington, Nia Long, Paul Mooney, Megan Good, Raven Symoné, Maya Angelou, and Reverend Al Sharpton offering their views on ‘good hair’ via relaxers and weaves, the film looks like it’s bringing the LOLs!

Blindie especially likes the discussion on weave sex by Nia Long, and you can never fail with Mr. Mooney’s deadpan delivery (while rocking an super-sized afro wig): “If your hair is relaxed, white people are relaxed…if your hair is nappy, they’re not happy!”

Good Hair hits theaters in October

Umm, no Mr. Mooney, in my experience black people aren’t happy with other black people unless their hair is relaxed. White folks seem to love when your hair is natural or nappy – maybe it’s fascination but they are not as annoyed by it as some blacks folks who always seem to remind one another when a relaxer is due.

  2. Please take a moment to check out my documentary film BLACK HAIR

It is free at youtube. 6 parts including an update from London, England.

It explores the Korean Take-over of the Black Beauty Supply and Hair biz..

Kinda like Madame C.J. Walker in Reverse….a tragic comedy.

    I am not a hater, I am a motivator.

Plus I am a White guy who stumbled upon this, and felt it was so wrong I had to make a film about it.

    Can it be taken back?
