Kal Penn Goes From White Castle To Fox’s House To The White House

After pursuing his White Castle craving on the big screen and committing suicide on Fox’s House on Monday, Kal Penn has landed a role in the Obmam administration as the Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Liaison.

“I was incredibly honored a couple of months ago to get the opportunity to go work in the White House, Penn told EW.com. “I got to know the President and some of the staff during the campaign and had expressed interest in working there…They do outreach with the American public and with different organizations…It’s similar to what I was doing on the campaign.

The Jersey born Indian actor whose real name is Kalpen Suresh Modi was a member of Obama’s National Arts Policy Committee and a surrogate for the Obama presidential campaign in 2008.
