New Moon Screenwriter Says Twilight Cast is On Set in Vancouver

Twilight sequel New Moon is officially on its way.
The cast (including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner) is finally on set, getting ready to shoot the upcoming sure-fire blockbuster.
“I can tell you the original cast will all be coming back,” screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg told People. “They’re on set right now, in Vancouver! They’re all up there prepping the movie to start shooting very soon.”
In addition to being stoked about having the film underway, Rosenberg is praising new director Chris Weitz.
“Chris Weitz directed The Golden Compass, which was a beautiful-looking film,” Rosenberg said. “And I think it’s wonderful we have someone who has worked with CGI animals … that will be a big part of New Moon. I’m delighted we have someone who’s so expert at that.”
She also shoots down reports that High School Musical star Vanessa Hudgens will be in New Moon as werewolf Leah Clearwater because Leah doesn’t appear in New Moon, but the third novel Eclipse.

omg i love the fact that i am not the only one who hates Vanessa Hudgens! i hope “Kaela Boo” is right and she isnt playing leah! ugh that would totally ruin the movie for me lol
Just saw the New Moon set today, right now they’re just doing some building and set ups. No actors have been spotted in area. They are to be start shooting May 15.
I totally agree, Vanessa Hudgens needs to go away no one likes her and she can’t even act so buger off Vanessa

High School Musical characters are for 5 year olds NOT 15 year olds.

.. I think where ever they choose to make new moon would be a good place because it won’t be new moon if they don’t stick to the book and they will have complaining fans.. I think its good that vanessa hudgins isn’t playing leah I don’t think she would suit the darjish style of the way twilight is she’s more sing and dance typw.. And might I add how perfect is robert pattinson for the role of gorgeous EDWARD CULLEN

Melissa Rosenburg is the main reason that the Twilight movie sucks butt. She butchered the story. All she had to do was adapt a perfectly wonderful novel to a more visual setting. If only she didn’t screw it up so horribly. This is how I know that the second movie is going to be awful as well. Well, at least there’s a new director. *sigh*

I think Vancouver is a perfect place to film New Moon… Places such as: East Hastings, Stanley Park and Bowen Island!

they are filming in vancouver, i know this for a fact, because my cousin, bronson pelletier will be playing a werewolf in it.
They are actually shooting in ITALY, OREGON and CANADA! BuT, shooting was suppose to start in MARCH sooooo… i think this info is WRONG!

I live in vancouver and it’s a much more suitable place to film New Moon. There is constant overcast and tons of dense forest.
