GIMME FIVE: ShortList of Actors To Replace Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black in New Moon

Given the fact that producers have yet to officially cast Taylor Lautner as Quillette werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight sequel, New Moon, Blindie’s come up with our wish list of hunky mature studs who could replace the 16-year-old cutie:
1. Steven Strait: With starring roles in 10,000 BC (2008) and The Covenant, he’s proven he can run around with his shirt off!
2. Benjamin Ciaramello: We’ve been crushing on him since his guest starring role as Santiago on NBC’s Friday Night Lights.
3. Michael Copon: From playing the blue ranger in Power Rangers to guest roles on Greek and One Tree Hill, this half-Filipino hottie could definitely do the role justice!
4. Jason Momoa: From Baywatch to Stargate Atlantis, this exotic beauty could make little Bella swoon on the big screen!
5. Channing Tatum: From Step Up to A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Tatum is HOT! While we hate to hire a non-ethnic actor (he’ll need a spray tan and dark contacts), he never disappoints!

idk which one is best because..taylor lautner shouldnt be close to be replaced b/c hes hott and buff normaly…and Joel straight is also hella hot.. but looks better with shaved mustache haha…and Micheal Copon is realy hot too!! they r the hottest!

out of those actors above Channing Tatum looks the least native american but hes the only one who actually IS …..Hes native american and irish!!
i thinck taylor l is the perfect fit to play jake coz his got the looks and definetly is the right age to play the older jake and be honest when you read the book dont u picture him and his childish smile…..!

I think Taylor Lautner is really good.I don’t think that he should be replaced and it would be different to see anyone else in Taylor’s place as Jacob.

Hailey; ignore Tess. I think that your choices for the next Jacob Black are perfect, and yes I too think that Taylor is entirely too babyfaced. Ummm, Tess, I think you may need to reevalute your comment because you do know that the next movie, involves a bit of an older Jacob, therefore requireing an older looking actor; right?!
This is a Native American role, so I suggest that they go all the way and find a Native to do it!

I agree with Hailey on getting a real Native Actor, that would be nice. I’m not saying Taylor isn’t great either, I just think an original Native would do. There are a lot of Natives out there who can play the roles, I just think they aren’t looking hard enough. I have one suggestion, I think EDDIE SPEARS can do a great job. He is so hot, already has the long hair, he got a little bit buffer since his role in Black Cloud, and he is a Native American. (full blooded)

Michael Copon (half filippino but hes hott)
Steven Strait(yea hes hott, too!)
being native, i think it should be a native actor to play a native role. there ARE native americans who are struggling actors, we should give them a role at least where there ethnicity is a must! Steven Strait is a good choice, though. i think the rest are hott, but just dont cut it to play the new, matured jacob black!
taylor lautner is too baby-faced! though i am a strong believer in keeping the original cast, he just wont do for the new moon jacob black. sorry! -____-
