Lewis Hamilton: First Black And Youngest Formula One World Champion

Lewis Hamilton finished a nail-biting race on Sunday in the Brazil Grand Prix at Interlagos, taking fifth place to claim the driver's title. He became the first black and youngest Formula One champion in the history of the sport and the first British champion since Damon Hill won in 1996. Hamilton has been the target of hateful and racist attacks by racing fans in Spain who earlier this year dressed in blackface during a race and most recently with a website containing obscene posts referring to Hamilton's color and reads "Hamilton cannot finish the race..we have to stop him however we can," inviting users to burst his tires. The 23 year-old driver needs to win just two more Formula One championships to win the $8 million rare McLaren F1 road car that was promised to him by McLaren team boss Ron Dennis last year.

Analyst Mellody Hobson Wants To Bring Stock Market To Black Dinner Table

A recent Fortune magazine article profiled financial analyst Mellody Hobson as the one to watch and listen to expert of Wall Street. As president of Ariel, the largest minority owned mutual fund company in America, Hobson's "slow and steady value investing approach" is being touted as the voice of reason during these fast and furious financial times. The product of a single mother in Chicago's inner-city, 39 year-old Hobson is on a quest to increase financial awareness among everyone and most importantly among black people who have been reportedly underinvested in the stock market according to a study conducted by Ariel and Charles Schwab. "I am trying to make the stock market a subject of dinner-table conversation in the black community, " Hobson says. Hobson boasts many admirers including CEO of Starbucks Howard Schultz who describes her as being among "a select few that are professionally so strong and personally without fault, " and director, producer George Lucas whom she is currently dating and can often be seen accompanying to red carpet events.

Palin Pranked By Canadian Radio Jocks

Canadian radio jocks Marc-Antoine Audette and Sébastien Trudel, the "Masked Avengers," prank called vice-president nominee Sarah Palin on Montreal's CKOI radio. The two comedians, who are notorious for prank calling celebrities, posed as French President Nicolas Sarkozy as they engaged the Alaskan governor in a hilarious conversation for nearly six minutes. Palin had no clue the joke was on her as she answered questions about Joe Plumber and laughed at a Nailin' Palin compliment. She even invited the faux Sarkozy on a hunting trip, to which he replied, "I just love killing those animals. Mmm, mmm, take away life, that is so fun. I'd really love to go, so long as we don't bring along Vice-President Cheney." The Celine Dion-like accent should've tipped Palin off right away, or at least her staffers.

Ga Ga: Stylist Dwight Eubanks Of Real Housewives

After watching a few episodes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Blindie quickly realized the real gem of the show isn't any of the overpriced baubles that Big Poppa buys for Kim Zolciak, it is Nene Leakes' "gay boyfriend" Dwight Eubanks. The dapper hair stylist can be seen on the Bravo series warning Nene of "plastic people," helping Nene's son Brice add color to his wardrobe, and accurately predicting that the guests at DeShawn Snow's gala would eat all her food and drink all the liquor and "not pay for nothin'." When Eubanks isn't bestowing words of wisdom to rich Housewives he can be found at The Purple Door hair salon in Atlanta, which he owns and operates. The salon also serves as the backdrop for a new reality show starring the style maven, Behind The Purple Door. Blindie stumbled upon the trailer for Purple Door on Youtube and we are relishing the clips of Eubanks' employees describing him as "extra" and "grand," and Eubanks' self-proclamation of "I'm just international." We're assuming the show hasn't been picked up by a network yet, and we are eagerly waiting for its and Mr. Eubanks' big debut. Watch it now.
