Ga Ga: Comic Book-Turned-Film The Spirit Trailer With Eva Mendes And Samuel Jackson

The 1940 comic book The Spirit has been made into a film that promises to give Iron Man a run for its superhero money.

Directed by Frank Miller and featuring the stunning visual technology utilized in his previous films 300 and Sin City, Spirit stars Samuel Jackson as villain The Octopus and Eva Mendes, Paz Vega and Scarlett Johansson among the many femme fatales.

Conspicuosly missing, and thankfully so, is the Spirit’s sidekick Ebony White, a racist African American stereotype.

The Spirit opens in theatres on Christmas day.
