One of Blindie's favorite beauties, actress Rosario Dawson, was director Kevin Smith's first choice for the starring role, opposite Seth Rogen, in Zach and Miri Make a Porno. But the New York native, who worked with Smith in Clerks 2, dropped out to make the Shia LaBeouf film Eagle Eye, giving W. star Elizabeth Banks a shot at stardom. Al Sharpton spoke to TV Guide about how his dedication to this year's presidential election kept him from hot-stepping it on Dancing with the Stars this year and his plans to keep his dance card open for the next season. "I turned down Dancing with the Stars last season because I was committed to do voter registration ...this is a very important election. So, I may do it next season...if they offer again I may do it." Ga Ga: The Holiday Inn Express’ White Rapper Commercial

Blindie just loves a good comercial, especially one that turns stereotypes on its ear. In this new Holiday Inn Express commercial a button-down, slack-wearing, white office dork strolls through what we presume is a black neighborhood (probably gentrifying the area, but that's another topic altogether) and out raps a young African American male who tries to belittle his nerdiness. With phraseology like "cause I know you're gonna drool when you hear me gettin' wordy....turning pennies into dimes, I shift paradigms..." Blindie has to admit the hotel chain just got a little hipper in our eyes.

Where In The World Is Michael Jackson?: Shopping Off The Wall

Michael Jackson made a rare appearance in Los Angeles on Thursday to perform a little retail therapy. The King of Pop, dressed in black pants and tuxedo jacket and donning his signature pair of sunglasses, was spotted shopping on the trendy Melrose Avenue and Robertson Boulevard. Jackson smiled and flashed peace signs to the cameras as he browsed through the antique store Off The Wall (yes, really!), Sculpture Design Inc., the houseware shop Victorian Rose and the cosmetic boutique Alter Ego. The singer purchased Epicuren Discovery skin treatment, a vintage silver model airplane and dodged questions from the mob of paparazzi waiting outside about his rumored bankruptcy woes and the whereabouts of his old primate pal Bubbles. ‘Sexiest’ Mario Lopez And ‘Hotness’ Jesse Williams Celebrate NYC Launch Of Lucky Strike

Lucky Strike celebrated the New York launch of their mega bowling alley with a star-studded bash that brought out People magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" Mario Lopez and "the Hotness Monster" Jesse Williams of the TV series Greek and the Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants sequel. Lopez joked about the film Kingpin as he arrived at the complex and showed off his skills as he knocked more than a few pins down. The biracial beauty is currently working on the film Brooklyn's Finest with Richard Gere, Don Cheadle and Wesley Snipes, and is slated to star in the HBO series Washingtonienne that will be executive produced by Sarah Jessica Parker. Also spotted at the Strike party was fashion designer turned rockstar Richie Rich, who party-hopped from the H&M Commes des Garcons launch across the street; Rescue Me's Daniel Sunjata, who showed up sans entourage and avoided the red carpet; and one of the original black supermodels Beverly Johnson looking sexy and svelte in a purple dress. Beyonce Cast As Legendary Singer-Actress Eartha Kitt

Beyonce Knowles has been cast as the legendary singer Eartha Kitt in a biopic of the entertainer's life, according to ABC News. Even though the 79-year-old singer once suggested Academy Award winner Halle Berry portray her on screen saying, "I do not think I have quite the derriere of Beyonce. Give me Halle Berry instead," in the SFGate.com, she did express approval that the former Destiny Child had taken an interest in starring in her life story. Kitt is best known for her role as Catwoman in the Batman television series during the 1960s, a distinctive throaty singing voice and her signature purr. She has chronicled her rise from meager beginings in North Carolina to stardom on the stage and screen in her autobiograpies Thursday's Child (1956), Alone With Me (1976), and I'm Still Here: Confessions of a Sex Kitten (1989). Knowles, who is already creating Oscar buzz for her portrayal of famed singer Etta James in the upcoming film Cadillac Records, will also star in the thriller Obsessed alongside Idris Elba and Ali Larter next year.
