Ga Ga: Zoe Saldana as Nyota Uhura in Star Trek Movie Poster

While director J.J. Abrams is keeping mum about his upcoming Star Trek film, he recently gave a slight sneak peek of his promotional posters, featuring the always-fabulous (and underrated) Zoe Saldana.
The film, which hits theaters on May 8, 2009 and also stars Chris Pine (Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock) and Eric Bana (Nero), features Saldana as Nyota Uhura–the Enterprise’s only female and African-American crew member.
“It’s great to see an exotic face in sci-fi,” Saldana told Latina magazine. “Little girls who look like me, or who are Arab, Filipina, whatever, are going to go, ‘Oh, my God, we can be in space, too!’”
